My Story

My desire to be a therapist was ignited when I was a child growing up overseas and seeing the impact of natural disasters on communities and the long-reaching impact of trauma. My journey began by working with kinship caregivers and refugee work. I began practicing in a residential setting, supporting parents with their adult children, partners, and spouses with the courageous work of relational healing. It can be painful when we can struggle to connect to the people who matter most to us. Our best efforts can go sideways or maybe the past continues to undermine our ability to heal or move forward.

My hope is to support you with exploring what happens for you internally in the moments when things go sideways, and also what happens between you and your loved one. My approach is informed by the lens of attachment, somatic work to help connect our minds and bodies, a family systems perspective, and a trauma informed lens. I am trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and families to support them with becoming oriented to the map to help you find one another, whatever the changing landscape.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate, and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate.

When I am not working I can be found spending as much time outside as possible, whether in my garden, walking my two fur babies, or adventuring with my husband and our two kiddos in the mountains. Giving back, connecting in community, and my own spirituality are all a big support to me on my own journey as a human. I have appreciated those who showed up for me in the dark moments of my journey, and I hope to be a support to you as well.

I specialize in:

  • Couples

  • Families
