My Story
I always felt drawn to helping others, to give folks what I felt I was lacking. From a young age, I found myself highly involved, volunteering with various non-profit organizations; to find a sense of community and acceptance, especially as a young Jewish woman. I didn’t receive the support I truly needed until later in my young adult life. I experienced the power of a healthy, encouraging, and supportive community. I became a therapist to help others address wounds, feelings of abandonment, and the perfectionistic tendencies that interrupt authentic connection to self and others. I commit to creating a space that allows for a healthy, encouraging, and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
I support people in uncovering the inner wisdom that lives inside of them. My approach to therapy is highly relational and attachment-based. Clients have shared valuing the way I show up authentically and transparently. I invite folks to explore their experiences with attachment and ways of thinking. Oftentimes, these thoughts affect the way we offer and receive connection within our relationships. Utilizing CBT with mindfulness, parts work, and psychoeducation, we can begin to identify thoughts, feelings, and sensory experiences that have become embedded in the core of each of us. I also utilize components from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to teach emotional regulation and distress tolerance skills. I believe that each individual has a nervous system that is resilient and capable of growth. I believe in the importance of partnering and learning from one another. My goal in the therapeutic relationship is to offer a space that allows for growth, curiosity, and honesty.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors. I love to cycle, hike, and swim! I really value connecting with the community through organizing and involvement. I also enjoy taking time to intentionally slow down to cook food that nourishes me, read, and play cards/chess.
