My Story

I’m a helper at heart and a therapist by profession. Throughout my entire life, I’ve naturally gravitated towards those who—like me—didn’t quite mesh with the ‘norm.’ As a trans man, I know what it means to be unheard and misunderstood and to have days when a façade is required to remain safe. I became a therapist to help others realize that they are not alone and that there is so much more to life than asking, “What’s wrong with me?”

I received my bachelor’s degree in counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in 2018, followed by my master’s in 2020. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC).

When I meet with a client, I show up as a real person. I’m here to connect and champion my clients as they discover the best of themselves and forge a life worth living. This includes encouraging creativity and fostering a space to un-become pieces of the self that were assigned by others.

I use mindfulness, psychodrama, and other experiential approaches to step outside my comfort zone and find the powerful connections between body and mind. As a nerd myself, I love integrating pop culture, special interests, and hyper-fixations into my sessions. If there is something that occupies a big place in your mind, it deserves a place with us. In conjunction with this, I teach dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) skills and self-regulation for coping and distress tolerance. Along with being a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I am an advocate.

Are you struggling with being present? Does it feel like no one else thinks the way you do? Perhaps you’re struggling with your identity or not being seen for the person you are.

Are you feeling a crippling weight of expectations for who you “should” be or what you “should” do? Do you find yourself constantly overwhelmed, having difficulty focusing, or overthinking? Do days and months pass with nothing to show for them, nothing changing? As life happens around you, do you find yourself falling into unhelpful or painful patterns? Do you want things to change for the better, to feel hopeful again, but don’t know where to begin?

You’re ready to step into a new chapter of your life. Perhaps setting your true self free or learning who that person is. It could be quieting your mind enough to begin enjoying the small things and celebrating the large ones. Maybe you want to break free of expectations and venture forward into possibilities that excite you.

I hear you; life has been tumultuous. With so many unknowns, it can be incredibly difficult to know what next steps to take. I offer a warm, nonjudgmental approach, and I will stay present with you as you explore the sides of yourself, past trauma, shame, fear, and everything weighing you down. Reach out; I would love to champion you as you step into change.

When I am not working, I focus on expressing myself creatively and connecting to nature. Indoors, I love to write, draw, act, and cosplay. Outside, I enjoy hiking, swimming, and sitting anywhere with a view. Inner peace is my priority, and I hope that as we work together, yours will grow with you.
