My Story | Hola!
My name is Vanessa Guerero, and I am a clinical therapist with Winter to Spring Wellness. Before being in Asheville for almost a decade, I originally hail from Miami, FL. I am a proud daughter of Cuban immigrants and a first-generation college student.
As a teen, I had my battles with physical and mental wellness, acculturation difficulties, and cultural stigma regarding mental health care. Through my own work, I have found healing and am now honored to support others who struggle with their own mental wellness and similar issues.
I received my Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Florida State and my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lenoir-Rhyne University. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (LCMHCA) in the state of North Carolina and a nationally certified counselor. I have approximately eight years of experience working in various positions in the mental health field, including but not limited to residential and community mental health agencies.
In my free time, I enjoy taking advantage of the beautiful nature in our area, going for hikes, and swimming under waterfalls. Laughing with friends and snuggling with my dog. I am also an artist and an avid lover of music and Latin dance.
I specialize in:
Chronic Illness
Life Transitions
BIPOC Issues
Mood Disorder
Perfectionism
