Walk & Talk Therapy

Walk and Talk Therapy: Is It Right for You?

We offer Walk & Talk therapy to enhance your therapeutic experience at Winter to Spring Wellness. Research shows rhythmic movement, such as walking, can be conducive to self-discovery. Walking also provides grounding and emotional regulation as it creates bilateral brain stimulation, which enhances the processing of emotions.
Numerous scientific studies have shown the positive effects of exercise on the brain, especially for people with depression. In addition, it can eliminate some pressure and anxiety of traditional therapy sessions of “face-to-face sessions.”

A few more reasons for combining movement and therapy:

It encourages clients to be more physically active for mental and physical reasons.

It helps clients get "unstuck" when confronting complex issues.

It spurs creative, more profound ways of thinking, often released by mood-improving physical activity.
